Pain? Shame?
Unexpectedly, the worst part of falling off my bike and tearing my favorite pants (and knee) is having to make time to go home and change.

Lest anyone feel sorry for me unjustly, I was drinking a cup of coffee while riding my bike, a practice I've unwisely had for a while (and will probably continue). So I had it coming.

I lost my favorite pants in an accident this weekend also. That is to say: "I feel your pain."

At least you weren't on your cell phone, the mistake I most often make

I totally crashed in the middle of the road a couple of days ago, because I tried to stop very suddenly while one hand was encumbered by a six pack of ale.
Fortunately, I didn't tear my favorite jeans, because I only own one pair with no holes.

Riding with a six pack is not a lot of fun, but at least it's better than a bag of groceries so heavy you have to switch arms every five minutes. Also, you're (obviously) more than 5 minutes from where you need to go.

I also had a ton of groceries at the time, but they were in a backpack.

I hope the beer was ok.

The beer was perfectly safe, but tastes only average.
