Forced Moves
It's unfortunate that one of the only ways I can motivate myself to do things is by putting myself in impossible situations, like waiting until the day before to write a paper, or a week before I'm homeless to find an apartment. In this spirit, my first blog post in a month is to announce my participation in a weblog contest which will require me to post daily. As the L-train pointed out, "i was surprised to find your name since, well, you haven't posted anything less than on a bi-monthly basis in a year." Fair enough. The only question now is whether I'd be better off trying to work myself into by posting more frequently between now and the 21st, or whether I risk burning myself out early that way.

Wow, that is some fantastic grammar on my part: "you haven't posted anything less than on a bi-monthly basis."
But I have faith in your ability to post at least one more time this month, Tony. Certainly more faith than in my own ability to construct a coherent sentence in the near future.
And look on the bright side, at least you have Conover beat by a mile.

Hah. Yeah, I wondered whether I should clean up your quote, but decided to let it stand. And I'm at least nearing the point of posting twice this month, which is really only 15 times short of what I need to do to stay in this competition.
